notsohappyhoward,

Hi and welcome to AFF.

Maybe I'm a little slow this morning but I don't understand your complaint. Could you please elaborate

This might also be appropriate to be asked in a new topic under Qantas FF.

Re: QF club question

I concur with Straightman. The lack of capitalisation, punctuation, and the spelling mistakes make it unclear what your point is.

Here are some full stops and commas: . . . , , , They may assist with your next post.

G'day notsohappyhoward,

welcome to AFF.

It seems from your post that you may be a LT QP member who regularly qualifies each year for either WP or SG status which both come with the built-in QP access; thereby negating your life time membership.

IMHO, the correspondence you refer to seem like form letters and I would not concern myself to much about receiving them.

Be happy you are getting the far greater privileges that a QF SG/oneworld sapphire/Emerald has access to when travelling.

Re: QF club question

i am confused like the others. If you have already paid for QC life time member but you then subsequently qualify for SG or WP then I would expect the letter as a SG and WP are entitled to more than a member who has just got life time membership. (like 50% or 100% bonus points, first baggage tags on intl flights etc) Otherwise I just do not understand your post.

Re: QF club question

I am a Lifetime QP member, currently a WP status member for ~ 3 years.

I don't really get similar letters. Mine tend to indicate that I've re-qualified for Plat and to enjoy the benefits (including Qantas Club lounges)

I suggest you may be reading too much into their letters. WP and SG give complementary "Qantas Club" membership, but the OneWorld status (OW Emerald - Plat, or OW Sapphire - Gold) are part of the real benefits that a Lifetime Qantas Club member gets when they earn enough status credits - as well as the other things like Anytime access to Qantas Lounges (Plat) and various benefits when planes have issues.

Re: QF club question

Enjoy the benefits that come with QF Platinum and Gold status. One day you may find that you no longer travel enough to maintain QF Platinum or Gold status and you still have Qantas Club lifetime membership to fall back on.

It would be just a standard form letter that you are getting. You get complimentary membership with gold or plat.
